A little out of order!

I forgot to post these pictures from LAST week when we went to Nolan's Thanksgiving feast at his school and a few pictures from that weekend of the kids. Rememeber, this is pre- new camera so the picture quaility is not that great but the pictures were too cute not to post. :-)

It's been a long, long day so I am keeping it short. Had pics with santa today and will post them soon. They came out great!

A lot to be thankful for...

Happy Thanksgiving!  I hope everyone had a wonderful thanksgiving yesterday.  It was such a great day for us.  The morning started out with Fab watching the Macy's day parade while I started cooking in the kitchen.  Arden watched with him too and napped here and there.  Nolan kept himself busy in his playroom and would come watch when a band was on or a float he recognized. :-)

We hosted dinner at our house so we had to get things ready for everyone to come over.  This is our 3rd annual Thanksgiving dinner and we just love hosting it.  It has truly become my favorite holiday.  We had 16 people total (the family is BIG!) and growing!  My mom cooks her famous turkey and mashed potatoes and then everyone brings side dishes and desserts.

I was sitting at the dinner table thinking about how many things I have to be thankful for.  I just want to list a few...

My husband- I am so thankful to be married to a guy who is truly my best friend and partner in life. He makes me laugh and I know I can trust him and count on him.  He works so hard for us.  He is the best dad ever and I don't know what I would do without him.

My 2 beautiful children, Nolan and Arden-  I don't even know what to say. I am so blessed to have them in my life to teach me about patience and selflessness and unconditional love and the list goes on and on.  I look at these 2 kids and just thank God that they are a part of my life.  I am so lucky and look forward to everyday with them.

My family- This is a huge one.  My mom is my very best friend and I am so thankful for her and all that she does for us.  Fabio's mom and dad are very special to me and we are so lucky they live so close.  I am thankful for my relationship with my dad. I am thankful that my brother and I have gotten so close over the years and are actually really good friends in our adult lives. I am thankful for my sister in law's Denise and Holly and brother in law's Jorge and Delwyn and all of the cousins for my children to play with and grow up with!  I am thankful for Alison and my step-sisters.  And this is just immediate family (see, I told you the family was big!) WOW!  And of course, we are thankful for our extended family as well.

My friends- Too many to list specifically, but you know who you are!  Many of you are like sisters to me and I love you to death!  I am so lucky to have you in my life.  I can only hope I have been as good of a friend to you as you all have been to me!

Our health- There are so many people who are suffering from illness and I am so thankful for my good health and for our family to be healthy as well.

Gosh, I really could go on forever.  This is just what things are at the top of the "thankful" list, but there are so many more.  It's kind of neat to put it down in writing.

Anyway, just want to give you an Arden update since I last wrote as well.  Although the "Restfull" formula isn't quite the "magical" trick I was hoping for, it is helping a little bit.  Arden has good nights and not so good nights..on the bad, she is up every 1 1/2-2 1/2 hours and on the good she'll give us a 3 1/2 to 4 hour stretch here and there.  Those are GREAT!  I am hoping that each day just gets better and better. It's amazing what a little extra sleep does for me...I feel like a million bucks!

Arden is smiling all the time now...her smile melts my heart!  I finally captured it a few times in some pictures.  You just can't see her dimples like you do in person when she smiles.

Speaking of pictures, we got a new camera the day before Thanksgiving so we can take some really good pictures of the kids.  I have been wanting this for so long so we decided to go for it.  We got the Nikon D3000 with the extra nice lens so I can do wide angle or zoom in really close from pretty far away.  Perfect for Nolan's soccer games!  I am still learning how to use it but love it so far.  That's why I have so many pictures of these past few days.

Well, we put up all of our Christmas decorations and our tree is up so the holidays are definitely in full swing around here!  Holly and I braved it and went shopping yesterday and got some really good deals on toys for the kids so Christmas shopping is almost done! Just a few extras that I still need to get but the kids are done. :-)  I will post pictures of the Christmas decorations this week.

Tomorrow we are going to church, then to the mall to take the kiddos to see Santa, then lunch, grocery store, and home to enjoy the remainder of the long weekend.

We have a busy week this week as Arden goes to the doctor for her 2 month check-up (can you believe she is 2 months old this week?) She gets her shots which is not going to be fun and also a special surprise!  Stay tuned to see..I will definitely post pictures!

Here are the thanksgiving pictures :-)

Meet my new best friend!

Oh my goodness!  We FINALLY got some rest last night!  WOOOO HOOOOO!!!

This formula did the trick!  Don't want to talk so soon, but...we gave her 2oz of this new "nighttime only" formula mixed with her regular formula, and Arden ate at 11, then again at 3 and then at 7!  This is a BIG difference compared to what we have been getting.  I read over 100 reviews on this formula and it was 50/50...50% of mom's said it was a miracle product and their kids started sleeping and 50% said it did not work at all.  I prayed yesterday that we would be in the 50% that it works for and it DID!
Now, fingers crossed that it continues to work. With a little sleep, I feel like a million bucks!
Time to do some things around the house!

Back to Work...

So, today was my first day back to work and you know what? I survived!  With the help of Miss Lauren to take care of Nolan for a couple of hours and help from my wonderful mom to help me with Arden...I made it!  My work computer is acting up so I wasn't as "quick" as I needed to be, but definitely still felt pretty accomplished.  By this weekend, I should be pretty caught up and then it's time for another break next week since its Thanksgiving!  Woo-hoo!!  I was thinking today about how lucky I am to be able to work from home...its really the best of both worlds!  It is definitely a challenge for me and should be interesting with 2 kids now, but I can't complain.  I was able to work in my PJ's with both kids home with me! I wouldn't have it any other way!

And, I will have to introduce you to my new co-worker!  I will take her picture for you to see tomorrow.  She is great!  A little short, has cute chubby cheeks, dimples and big pouty lips!  I will have to talk to her about sleeping on the job so much, but she sure is nice to work with. LOL!

Have a great night!

Whew! I am tired....

First, let me show you this cool picture frame I made for Nolan to display his soccer pictures from this season.  I thought this was a cute way to put them together..Nolan loved it!  He looks at all of his friends each night before he goes to's so cute. :-)

The weekend started off with a quick trip to Cape Coral for my step-sister Alexis's wedding.  We left on Thursday and came back Friday after the wedding (it was a morning wedding).  It was a quick trip but we had a nice time!  Here are some pics...

My sweet baby girl all dressed up

And her handsome big brother

Mommy and Daddy

My dad, me and my brother, Adam

Fab and his baby girl

Little Angel

Tried to get a sibling picture but Arden wasn't having it

Oh well, we tried :-)

Saturday morning we woke up early and went to the UCF homecoming parade.  Nolan LOVES this!  We had a blast...saw some friends from college and hung out on campus a while.  It was a gorgeous morning.  I only got one picture though before my camera battery died :-(

Future UCF Cheerleader :-)

After UCF, we went to the mall to get some last minute things for our Christmas pictures tomorrow.  We have lots of house stuff to do tomorrow too to get ready for Thanksgiving.  And, I have some work things to do too as I go back to work on Monday.  I am excited, a bit nervous, and anxious to get started again to see how I am going to juggle everything.  I feel good about things though and have really good help between my mom, Fab's mom, Nolan's nanny "Miss Lauren" who I would die without and Nolan going to school.

Let's hope I survive!

Now, if only I can get some sleep!

Have a good night!

Great Weekend!

Well, this past weekend was quite busy but very nice!  I finally finished the house project on Friday that I mentioned...I painted the dining room!  I wanted it to be a little warmer so I decided to paint the top half of the wall to help the trim stand out a bit more.  Here is sort of a before picture...we had already taken the picture down above the china cabinet and I put a little paint on the wall to see what it would look like...

Dining Room "Before"

Now, here is a picture of the completed project.  Of course, it looks so much better in person but we are so happy the way it came out!  You just won't find me painting anything else for a while.  Not a good idea with a newborn, a 3 1/2 year old, and way too many other things going on.  Love house projects when they are DONE though!

On Saturday morning, Nolan had his last soccer game of the season and he scored another goal!  We were so proud of him!  After, we went to one of his teammates house for a party and trophy ceremony.  He was soooo proud to get his trophy!  He shows it to everyone who comes over!

Of course, Arden slept through the whole thing....

After the party, we had to run home and get ready for baby DJ's 1st birthday party at one of the Disney hotels!  DJ is Nolan and Arden's cousin.  He is so cute and I can't believe he is 1 already!

This is Nolan and Sabrina with princess and pirate hats :-)

Sunday, we went to Lake Eola for Fiesta in the Park which is an annual craft fair.  It was such a nice day to be outside!  Just a little windy!

And of course, I have to show you how cute Arden looked!  She was not very happy with this picture taking session though...
